Day 7
So... I've been off the nerve block for two days now.... and have very little pain whatsoever. Just finished off the antibiotics, but haven't needed to use any painkillers. Have my first follow-up appointment this Friday coming up... looking forward to seeing the carnage.

Day 5
My nerve block fell out today... which means in 3-16 hours, the leg will no longer be numb, and I should be able to feel pain. Hopefully not too much.

Day 4
Going stir crazy. No pain, but this nerve block seems to be lasting longer than it was intended to.
Actually hoping to not walk around with this slung over my shoulder much longer.
Feeling a little under the weather all week, aches, pains, nausea, etc. Not sure if I a legitimately having a head cold or if these are side effects or reactions from the surgery.

Day 3
Still no pain... but my nerve block is due to expire in about a day, so that will be interesting.
Will i be overcome in horrific pain, or relatively minor pain? Time will tell.

Day 2 - Day After Surgery
Woke up after a iced-tea induced night of horrible sleep.
No pain whatsoever in my foot. Either the nerve block is working fiercely, or I am a pain-bearing machine.
Spent the day watching Netflix and surfing the web.
Only had 1 iced tea today, hoping for a night of sleep.
Turns out I am not wearing a cast, but rather, a boot wrapped in an Ace bandage, which allows for swelling.

Day 1 - Surgery Day
Arrived at surgical center at 11:00 for my procedure.
I am schedule to have a lateral wedge calcaneal osteotomy, as well as repair for tendon and ligament.
Surgery was scheduled for 2 hours, but instead took 3.5 hours, due to some complications with the tendon repair, which was much more difficult than expected.
Was given a nerve block which is expected to last for 3 days, as well as a prescription for Percocet and anti-biotic to take for 5 days.
Went home, and zoned out for a couple of hours. Felt some pressure in my heal area, but otherwise, no real discomfort.
Went to bed at 10:30, but slept like crap, likely due to a over-consumption of iced tea during the day.
